About Us :
CSR Charitable Trust is a registered Non-Government organization formed by a group of professional generous like-minded philanthropists in the year 1999 at Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India. Founder of this noble non-profit body was Late Dr. Capt. C.K. Srinivasan, a leading medical practitioner of the 1940’s. The trust was started with a motto to serve the underprivileged children, women and men to eradicate poverty in its every dimension by providing equal opportunity to all.
The founder of the trust not only did serve his country by making his services available for the Army during the second world war but did yeoman services to the noble cause of the poor and underprivileged during his life time. He lived as a role model for other in the medical profession. True to his family tradition of serving the poor, Dr. C.S. Ragoothaman the chairman of the trust started his medical profession with zeal and enthusiasm at Anthiyur (Erode District) and kept up the promise he had given at the time of his father’s death, by serving poor patients free of cost and helping the children below the poverty line to pursue their college education.
Many working engineers, doctors and police officers will remember him with gratitude. Dr. CSR, as he is popularly known in the medical profession made his two sons to pursue the noble profession of medicine. The eldest son is Dr. C.S.R. Kumar who is a surgeon of repute at Coimbatore, is the President of the trust and the second son Dr. Anandkumar is an Orthodontist. C.S.R. Charitable Trust is the brain child of Dr. C.S.R. Kumar.
The trust continues to serve the underprivileged community with its various charity arms which is growing enormously year by year.
Objectives :
• Qualitative free, Subsidized and affordable health care to the poor and common.
• Maintaining and running free care taking homes.
• Constructing educational and training institutions and thereby imparting quality professional education to empower the underprivileged students with knowledge of wisdom.
• Statistical and Medicinal Research to identify the un-reached and enable the poor to receive the world class healthcare.
